I learned two very exciting things today. First, I learned I'm eligible for a £2000 scholarship that's offered to international students. All I have to do is write one of the ten best essays describing how my Bristol education will help me make life in my country better. Now, coming from a country with as high a standard of living as the US may make that difficult, but I think I've got a pretty good angle in mind. Secondly, and as a consequence of the first item, I learned the keyboard shortcut for the pound sign (£). Turns out it's Option-3. Remarkably simple, and I imagine that it'll come in handy over there.
